Shannon Wynne is an American restaurateur born in Dallas, Texas in 1951.

He currently co-owns and operates restaurants in 6 states and 14 cities across the South and Midwest, including Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, Flying Fish, Rodeo Goat, Mudhen Meat and Greens, Meddlesome Moth, and Bird Café.

In 1986 Wynne bought a camp on Caddo Lake and adopted the region as a second home.

When Giant Salvinia arrived at the lake in 2006, he felt and witnessed how dramatically it affected the lives of those who live and work there.

"It messes up outboards, steals oxygen from the critters, and shades the lake plants that need the sun."

Wynne felt compelled to share the story of the Giant Salivinia Invasion on Caddo Lake as a warning to all those who want to protect the environments that they love.
